Day 1:
Weight: 168.8 lb, 76.7 kg
% body fat: 25.1 %
It’s the first day of 2012 – which means it’s THE day that I kick off the 10 in 20 project! In case you missed my first post, 10 in 20 means that I’ll be losing 10 lbs in 20 days.
Not a perfect day, but a pretty good day overall.
For breakfast, I had my usual vegetable and fruit drink. Lunch was at church so I had some chicken with Chinese Bok Choy and some tofu. For dinner, I ate a huge plate of cabbage, two bits of yam, and a small piece of salmon (and when I say small piece, I mean small!!!)
I did my best to control my portion size. The one temptation I did fall into was some honey/butter/brown sugar glazed walnuts that my mom made yesterday. They are sooooo additive and soooooo good. I told myself that I would only have two of them, well, you guessed it, I had a lot more than two
Since today is Sunday, it’s my day of rest so I won’t be exercising today.
So like I said, not a perfect day, but a pretty good day overall. Tomorrow, we kick into high gear and things will start to get more “interesting”.
Since today is the first day of 2012, there really isn’t a better day for you to decide what it is you would like to see happen in 2012. Are you like me in thinking that you need to lose some weight? (actually, statistically half of you will be in the same boat as I am, making weight loss the # 1 most popular New Year Resolution of all time…at least of modern time). Do you want to develop a better relationship with the people that you surround yourself with?? Do you need to learn how you can get your financial situation under control?
Whatever it is you resolve to do in the upcoming year, make sure you set yourself up for success! The ONE thing that has helped me lose 40 pounds in the past is following the 6 Step Formula. This plan is proven to help people accomplish goals that they’ve set out for themselves – weight loss or otherwise
